ETS-Lindgren offers revolutionary, leading-edge MRI door technology with the Auto-Seal™ II—a lightweight, mechanically operated, high performance shielded door. The Auto-Seal II (AS-II) is available in three distinct door configurations: RF-Shielded, Acoustic and Fire-Rated. Each door is distinguished by a pneumatically operated, bladderless, gasketless, fingerless, virtually maintenance-free RF sealing system that ensures greater reliability, yet maintains ease of use.

The Auto-Seal II eliminates the need for gaskets, bladders and contact fingers, and thus the service problems that are associated with them. Such problems include broken contact fingers, flattened gaskets and leaking bladders as shown below.

Highly Reliable Sealing, Easy-open, Easy-close Door

Traditional RF doors typically require excessive force for opening and closing, due to a friction RF seal design. Frictional forces are eliminated in the Auto-Seal II, resulting in a smooth, highly reliable, easy-open, easy-close operation. The door automatically seals when pulled into the closed position. The logic mechanism for both the open and close operation is easily activated by the door handle. The door operates on a standard 115 VAC service and clean, dry shop air at 60-120 psi or equivalent international standards.

Safety is assured via such features as an ADA-compliant latch and lock mechanism, an emergency “Open” button that can be mounted per customers’ needs and a fail-safe logic and controller system that fails in the “Open” position in the event of power or air pressure loss. By interfacing with the logic system, additional safety features can be added, such as card readers, magnetic locks, door closers and more.

Acoustic Door

The AS-II Acoustic door has been designed and developed to deliver exceptional STC ratings for sound abatement. Louder gradients can be annoying to rooms surrounding the MRI suite. The specially developed acoustical seal design, core material and overall weight aid in minimizing sound transmission while providing automatic RF sealing and minimal opening and closing forces.

RF-Shielded Door

The AS-II RF-Shielded door offers attractive hardware along with a laminate finish or a wood veneer. The RF-Shielded door provides 100 dB attenuation over frequency ranges of up to 450 MHz and is ideal for surgical MRI suites with its automatic sealing operation.

Fire-Rated Door

The industry's first RF, fire-rated door for MRI applications. Providing freedom of the MRI suite design by eliminating the need to plan for and purchase both an RF and fire door. The door is suitable for mounting in a 60-minute fire wall and features listed and ADA-compliant hardware, including the door handle, hinge and door closer.
